Clay model sculpture is the starting point and core of every sculpture. Clay sculpture provides artists with the most free creative space due to its high plasticity and delicate texture. Through clay sculpture models, Aongking can accurately shape the expressions of characters, the dynamics of animals, or the rhythm of abstract forms, laying a solid foundation for subsequent stone carving, bronze carving, or resin casting.
Clay model sculpture is not only a material, but also an artistic language. It is a key link in transforming design concepts into three-dimensional images, allowing creators to repeatedly adjust proportions and structures in soft soil, achieving a transition from flat sketches to three-dimensional entities. All of Aongking’s clay sculptures are handcrafted by experienced sculptors, and every detail embodies creative thinking and precise craftsmanship.
As a professional sculpture production team, Aongking provides a complete clay model sculpture customization service – whether it is the preliminary model of large urban sculptures or the unique customization of personal art collections, Aongking can present your creativity with high-quality clay sculpture prototypes. The clay sculpture stage is not only the core step of the creative process, but also an important link for you to preview and confirm the design effect, allowing each sculpture to start from the soil and accurately move towards the ideal artistic form.

The Process of Making Sculptures:
• 1. Concept and Design: This is the starting point of sculpture creation. Artists will create creative ideas and sketches based on the theme or client’s needs, and determine the size, posture, emotional expression, and material type of the work (such as stone, bronze, resin, mud, etc.).
• 2. Clay Model: Clay sculpture is the core step in sculpture production, also known as the prototype stage. Artists use clay or oily clay for shaping, continuously shaping, refining, and refining to establish the sense of volume and structural proportion of their works.
• 3. Mold Flipping and Casting: After the clay sculpture is finalized, mold making will be carried out. The mold can be a gypsum mold, silicone mold, or resin mold. Subsequently, different processes will be selected based on the final material:
⋅If it is a bronze sculpture, use the lost wax method or sand casting.
⋅If it is a resin or gypsum sculpture, it is formed by pouring the mold.
•4. Polishing and Surface Treatment: After demolding the sculpture, it needs to be polished, trimmed, and trimmed to remove excess seams and bubbles and restore details. Metal sculptures will also undergo welding, plating, or coloring (such as copper green treatment) to achieve the desired texture and visual effect.
•5. Installation and Display: The final step is installation and display. Large sculptures usually need to consider the center of gravity, supporting structure, and safety, while small sculptures focus on base design and display lighting.
