Bronze large church bells are also rung on special occasions, such as weddings or funerals. In Christian tradition, church bells are also believed to drive away evil spirits. Traditional European church bells are used in Christian churches around the world. It consists of a cup-shaped metal resonator with a rotating wooden clapper suspended inside that strike the sides as the bells swing.
