This art famous statue is created by Michael James Talbot. Michael James Talbot was a British sculptor. Born in 1959 in Staffordshire, northern England, Michael completed his honours degree in sculpture before winning a scholarship to do postgraduate study at the Royal College of Art in London in 1980. Michael went on to study at The Sir Henry Dalton Sculpture School of Colin Melbourne ARCA and the brave Lady Elizabeth Frink RA. Inspired by Greek mythology, Venetian masquerade balls and body poetry, Michael uses wax, clay and bronze to transform timeless human narratives into figurative works of art. Through a subtle synchrony of form, tension and balance, Michael transforms his vision of live models into polished and polished sculptures. The artist contrasts the impermanence of time and existence expressed by his energetic deities and charming figures with the timelessness and rigidity of bronze castings. Seek connections to ancestors of long ago instead of differences. In 1983, Michael received the prestigious Lanseer Award.
